What is Fine Art Paper?
Without being technical, fine art paper is specialty paper that is made to not breakdown or yellow over time.  The paper is acid free and lignin free, which means that it will not fade or yellow the paper over long periods of time.  Fine art paper is typically a much heavier weight paper that can have smooth or textured finishes.  It is also made to more accurately reproduce a greater range of colors and is optimized for accurate fine art and photo reproduction.

How does Fine Art Paper differ from regular paper?
The combination of printer, inks and paper contribute to the range of colors that can be reproduced in any print.  Regular paper does not have the capacity to reproduce the range of colors that fine art papers do.  Additionally, regular paper is not made to be acid or lignin free and therefore does not have the archival qualities of fine art paper.

What is a Fine Art Print?
A fine art print is a reproduction of an original artwork created from a painting, a photograph, a drawing or other imagery including digital imagery.  Fine art prints can be made in a number of different media with lithography, 4-color press, and Giclee as examples.

Where can I see all the Fine Art Prints available for The Original Gift Greetings™?

Why do I have to order from Stubbs Art Studio™?
The Original Gift Greetings™ is a product that is produced and sold through Stubbs Art Studio.  This site has been created to educate our customers about The Original Gift Greetings™.

How do I handle the Fine Art Print?
Because this is a fine art print it is susceptible to damage from scratches, scuffing, and finger oils.  Do not allow your fingers to touch the print.  Be careful to protect the print from rubbing against rough surfaces including other paper.

Why is the Fine Art Print in a plastic sleeve inside the envelope?
Because the fine art print is susceptible to damage from scratches, scuffing, and finger oils it is kept in the plastic sleeve to protect it from damage from handling and from rubbing against the envelope.  After you add your hand written note and signature be sure to place the print back in the plastic sleeve before putting it in the envelope.

How do I write my personal message in The Original Gift Greetings™?
You must write on the inside right page of the card in order to protect the quality and integrity of the fine art print.  If you write on the inside left page of the card (behind the print) your writing utensil will cause the paper fibers to collapse and the impression can be transferred to the print itself.  You can use any writing utensil on the inside right page of the card.  Be sure to allow enough time for any ink to dry before closing the card to eliminate the chance of bleed through.
Be sure the envelope is empty before writing on it. Writing on the envelope before removing or after inserting the print will damage the print.

How do I put the Fine Art Print in the picture frame?
Holding or placing the frame face down, remove the picture frame back by turning and unlocking the locking tabs.  Lift the frame back at an angle beginning with the locking tab end and slide it out of the frame.  Remove the foam sheet and the face page.  Place the print face down inside the frame, oriented according to the frame stand.  To protect the print insert the foam sheet.  Although it is not necessary you can also place the face page on top of the foam sheet for added protection.

What makes The Original Gift Greetings™ different from regular greeting cards?
